R Serial # 901980V. 12 Ga. pump action shotgun with a 28” plain barrel. The bore is excellent, clean and shiny. The barrel is choked Modified. The chamber is 2-3/4”. The barrel date code is PI, which indicates it was made in 1976. However, no-prefix 870’s were made from 1950 to 1967, the barrel is a newer replacement. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in very good condition showing scattered light scratches. The finish at the muzzle is a little rough, it may be cold blue touch-up. The magazine tube shows moderate action wear with light scratches. The blued metal finish on the receiver is in very good condition showing edge wear and scattered fine scratches with scattered light freckling. The gloss finished checkered walnut forearm and the matching butt stock are in very good condition showing some scattered light dings and scratches, mostly on the butt stock. Plastic butt plate with an LoP of 13-7/8”. The action works fine. C&R.
