R Serial # 142122. .38-55 Win. caliber/12 Ga. double barreled hammer rifle/shotgun combination with 29-3/4” barrels. The exact rifle caliber is unknown, but is similar to .38-55, it should be checked before attempting to fire. The shotgun barrel is in very good condition, mostly clean with light fouling and some scattered spots of light pitting. The rifle barrel is in good condition with good rifling with frosting/fouling in the grooves. Made in Belgium, probably in the 1890’s. The shotgun barrel is choked Full. Blade front sight with a folding leaf rear sight. Top opening lever. Double triggers. The blued metal finish on the barrels is in very good condition showing scattered light dings and scratches with scattered light surface rust is a brown patina with dark freckling od older cleaned rust. The blued metal finish on the receiver and lock plates is in good condition showing edge wear, scratches and scattered light surface rust. The checkered walnut forearm is in good to very good condition showing little wear with the finish blistering slightly at the nose. The checkered walnut butt stock is in generally good condition, but the finish has blistered over the entire surface. Original bone butt plate. The action seems to work fine. Includes a vintage canvas web sling. C&R.
