1941 Mercury (Winged Liberty Head) Dime has a small "S" mintmark (San Francisco). This is the standard/smaller mintmark for the date—not the famous "Micro S" variety (which applies to 1945-S dimes, where a tiny Filipino-style punch was used by mistake).Identification Confirmation from PhotosObverse: Clear 1941 date, "IN GOD WE TRUST," strong profile with wing details.Reverse: Fasces with "E PLURIBUS UNUM," olive branch, small "S" to the left of the fasces base (below "ONE DIME"). The close-up shows a compact, normal-sized S (not the large "Trumpet Tail" FS-511 variety or a true micro).Condition: Circulated (moderate wear on high points like Liberty's hair/wing and fasces bands), but attractive with no major damage. Likely VF–XF range. Not a Micro S — 1941-S uses the standard small S punch (or the scarcer large Trumpet Tail). True Micro S is a 1945-S error with a dramatically undersized mark.Auction Value Estimate (2026 Average)Circulated (VF–XF, as appears): $5–$12 (near melt ~$4–$6 silver value; common date)
