An Art Deco period ashtray, likely of French or Belgian manufacture, dating circa 1920s-1930s. The piece features a cast spelter figure of a recumbent hound with a dark, textured finish, mounted to a molded glass tray. The pale green glass exhibits brown slag-like swirls and fluoresces brightly under ultraviolet light, indicating the presence of uranium.

Art Deco Uranium Glass Vaseline Glass Slag Glass Dog Spelter Ashtray Vide Poche French Greyhound Borzoi

Dust Factory Auctions offers antique and vintage items that proudly display the natural signs of their age and previous use.
