A vintage cast iron advertising paperweight in the form of a rooster's head, likely American, circa mid-20th century. The piece is cast with the name "PIKGARD" in raised letters on its comb, a brand of anti-pecking devices for poultry, possibly made by the National Band & Tag Co. This promotional item features a worn red painted finish over the metal and has a flat, ground base.
