An early 20th-century figural trinket box, possibly of Austrian or German manufacture. The piece features a cold-painted spelter figure of a pirate holding a pistol, seated upon a hinged metal chest. The chest is finished in a blue and silver-tone paint and opens to reveal a wood-lined interior.
