1982 hand-coloured etching on paper by Montreal artist Shirley Katz, titled Some Enchanted Evening (numbered 8/25). Includes a Montreal Museum of Fine Arts label en verso. Signed, Titled and Numbered Lower Margin. Framed under glass 25.75 x 31.5 in Visible artwork within Matt: 19.75 x 25.5 in Collector's Note: Shirley Katz is a German-born, Montreal-based painter and printmaker active since 1979. Known for her expressive figurative artwork, she earned a BFA from Concordia University and a BA from McGill University. Katz served as head of printmaking and drawing at Montreal’s Saidye Bronfman Centre School of Fine Arts until 2007. Her hand-coloured etchings and paintings are held in numerous private and public Canadian collections including Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec (MNBAQ), Cabo Frio Museum (Brazil), Department of Cultural Affairs (Québec), The Claridge Collection (Montreal, QC), Loto-Québec Collection (Montreal, QC), Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Michael Hornstein Collection and Karen Kain Collection
