Quebec studio pottery platter by Manon Delorme. The boat-shaped red earthenware dish features a vibrant cobalt blue glazed interior accented by an incised, stylized fish motif exposing the underlying clay body, while the reverse remains unglazed terracotta. Includes the original artist information label. Collector's Note: Based in Montreal, Manon Delorme is a professional studio potter and instructor who has crafted utilitarian and decorative ceramics since 1999. Her work, frequently exhibited at the Salon des Métiers d’art du Québec, explores personal symbolism using stylized, nature-inspired surface decorations. Translate of Artist's Label: Manon Delorme, Montreal. For me, the stages of making pottery serve as the most beautiful metaphor for the creative process. I work with red or black earthenware from Quebec, firing it at 2,160°F. Each of my ceramic pieces is unique—individually wheel-thrown or hand-shaped and hand-painted. I pay close attention to technique to ensure every piece is oven, dishwasher, and microwave safe. I love knowing that you use them to cook and invent new recipes. In turn, you transform my ceramics by incorporating them into your daily life.
