Up for auction is a rare, extensive estate lot of antique beauty history featuring a collection of non-electric Marcel waving curling irons and a stove-top heating canister. This lot is an incredible addition for antique vanity collectors, historical theater prop houses, barber shops, or salon decorators. The iron tongs open and close on manual scissor hinges and feature authentic wooden handles—some showing their original green and dark stained finishes—to shield the stylist's hands from the intense heat. The accompanying heavy tin canister served as the localized heat chamber to bring the metal barrels up to styling temperatures over a flame.
