This is a handmade crib size baby quilt with a white ground and a green and white gingham checked border and backing. The center panel is decorated with hand embroidered nursery rhyme figures worked in soft pastel threads, including Little Bo Peep, Jack and Jill, Little Boy Blue and others. The quilt is finished with an all over stipple quilting pattern that adds texture across the surface, and the embroidery and quilting appear intact. Condition is good with expected age toning and light wear to the fabric. A charming piece for a nursery or for display. Estimated Value: $30 to $60 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
