This is a Seth Thomas Metronome Number 10, catalog 1103, model E873-007, made by a Talley Industries Company of Thomaston, Connecticut. The case is wood in the classic pyramid or obelisk form with a warm maple finish and a small brass Seth Thomas nameplate on the front. It is a wind up mechanical metronome and includes the original brass winding key. The front cover removes to reveal the pendulum and beat scale, and the paper specification label remains intact on the base. Measures approximately8.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide. Condition is very good with light wear to the finish consistent with age. The mechanism was not tested. Estimated Value: $30 to $55 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
