A pair of Kidde model i9080CA smoke alarms, presented in their original retail packaging. These units utilise ionization sensing technology, containing 0.9 microcuries of Americium 241, to detect products of combustion. Each alarm is designed with an integrated safety light intended to illuminate exit routes when triggered. Additional features include a Hush button for the temporary silencing of nuisance alarms and a test button for verifying circuitry and alarm operation. The units are battery-operated, designed for use with 9V batteries. The Kidde brand name is visible on the front of each unit and the packaging. The reverse of the card is marked Model / Modèle : i9080CA and indicates manufacture for Kidde Canada Inc. The packaging also bears UL certification marks for the Canadian and United States markets. Condition: The items are held within their original retail blister packaging. The cardboard backing is in poor condition, showing significant tears, creasing, and surface loss, particularly at the corners. While the units appear unused, the functionality of the included 9V batteries is not guaranteed. Potential bidders should note the manufacturer recommendation to replace smoke alarms every ten years; these units represent older retail stock.
