A pair of matching framed works comprising a color-toned portrait print and an original watercolor. The first work is a portrait print of a young child with blonde hair resting their head on their hands, signed Marcus Adams in red script in the lower right. The second is an original watercolor on paper landscape depicting rolling hills and a body of water under a soft sky with peach-colored clouds, initialed F.V.I. in the lower right. Both pieces are mounted behind wide cream-colored mats and housed in thin dark frames featuring an embossed foliate scroll pattern. The verso of the portrait print includes the handwritten name Francis Ivy on the paper backing. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): approx. 13 3/8 in x 11 1/4 in (34 cm x 28.5 cm) per frame. Condition: Both mats exhibit significant foxing and toning. The frames show surface wear, minor scuffs, and small losses to the embossed finish, particularly along the edges. The backing paper on the portrait is partially torn, while the landscape backing has a large moisture stain. No apparent restoration to the artwork itself.
