1989 Fleer Baseball — three complete sets: two factory sealed, one hand collated Three complete 1989 Fleer Baseball sets — 660 cards and 45 logo stickers each. Two remain factory sealed in the original shrink, still wearing their period retail price stickers from Ames ($24.99) and Ben Franklin ($25.99), both long-gone chains — a nice touch of 1989 that you can't fake. The third is a hand-collated set sorted for centering, mint throughout, for a buyer who wants to see what they're getting. The 1989 Fleer rookie class is one of the deepest of the era: Ken Griffey Jr. #548 — the card that defined a generation of collecting — plus Randy Johnson, John Smoltz, Craig Biggio, and Gary Sheffield rookies. The set also contains the infamous Billy Ripken #616, the most talked-about error card in hobby history. Three sets, three ways to enjoy them: keep one sealed, open one, and put the collated set on the shelf.
