Shootable Bore, Tight Action Semi Auto An exceptional, highly collectible example of America's definitive WWII service rifle, offered in very good condition. This desirable early six-digit production specimen features a 24-inch barrel with a shootable bore and a crisp, tight semi-automatic action. The straight-grained American walnut stock is a premier highlight, proudly displaying an authentic, crisp "S.A. GHS" inspector stamp alongside the military cross-cannon ordnance cartouche on the left side, as well as a traditional circled "P" proof stamp behind the trigger guard. The rifle exhibits a historic parkerized finish across its barrel and receiver group, carrying drawing number stamps D28287-2SA on the bolt and 0-46025-1-SA in front of the trigger guard. Mechanically complete, it features a drift-adjustable front sight, an adjustable rear aperture peep sight, a receiver-mounted clip release, a two-stage trigger, a trigger guard-mounted safety, sling swivels, and a metal buttplate complete with a cleaning kit storage trapdoor. Bearing serial number 328433, this investment-grade infantry rifle comes complete with an authentic military bayonet and a U.S. M8A1 B.M. CO. sheath with its attached canvas frog. (80181) (GSCG70)
