Studio art pottery lidded canister, likely by Welton Jones, featuring a cylindrical form with an integrated loop handle on the lid and a hand-applied landscape glaze in layered tones of cream, blue, gray, brown, black, and amber. The flowing glazes create an abstract scenic effect with rich textural variation characteristic of high-fired studio stoneware. The underside bears an impressed mark that appears to read "Welton Jones," although the mark is partially obscured and has not been definitively verified. The canister measures approximately 11 inches tall including the lid and retains its original matching lid.
