Beautiful Frankoma Pottery pitcher and matching two-mug set, handcrafted in the United States and signed on the underside. This classic American pottery set showcases Frankoma's distinctive organic forms, rich earthy glaze, and timeless craftsmanship that have made the company one of the most collectible names in American art pottery. The set includes a pitcher measuring approximately 7.5" tall x 7" wide including the handle (4" base diameter) and two matching mugs, each measuring approximately 4.5" tall x 3.25" wide including the handle (2" base diameter). The pitcher is marked "2GD", while both mugs are marked "2GDC", identifying their Frankoma mold patterns. Ideal for serving coffee, tea, cider, or other beverages, the set also makes an attractive display in a pottery collection, farmhouse kitchen, or Southwestern-inspired home. Founded in 1933 by John Frank, a ceramics professor at the University of Oklahoma, Frankoma Pottery became one of America's most celebrated pottery manufacturers. The company is renowned for producing durable stoneware, dinnerware, vases, pitchers, mugs, and decorative ceramics using locally sourced Oklahoma clay. In 1954, Frankoma transitioned from the lighter-colored Ada clay to the darker, reddish-brown Sapulpa clay, creating the warm earth tones and distinctive character that collectors recognize today. Frankoma pieces remain highly sought after for their craftsmanship, history, and uniquely American design. See photos for details
