This fireplace screen features a rectangular brass frame housing two black-finished mesh curtain panels. The mesh panels are suspended from a track along the top of the frame, allowing them to slide open and closed. Each panel is equipped with a single circular brass pull handle. The unit is supported by two curved, splayed feet at the base. The design reflects a functional Mid-Century Modern aesthetic. Condition: The fireplace screen is in used condition. The brass frame shows significant surface wear, including widespread tarnishing, oxidation, and scattered scratches. The black mesh panels appear to be intact and free of tears, though they show a buildup of soot and dust consistent with use. The feet exhibit wear to the finish.
