This commemorative whiskey decanter was produced by the Regal China Corporation for the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in 1987. The piece is modeled after a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray split-window coupe. The body is constructed from ceramic with a metallic silver finish, complemented by chrome-toned trim for the bumpers, window surrounds, and hubcaps. The wheels feature black tires with white-wall detailing. The rear deck and split-window assembly lifts off to provide access to a black plastic screw cap. Embossed markings on the base include Creation of James B. Beam Distilling Co., Genuine Regal China 1987, and Regal China Corporation. A metallic label on the side identifies the contents as Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 100 months old, 80 proof, 750ml. Decals include Corvette cross-flag emblems on the hood, front fenders, and rear fuel filler cap, with a Corvette Sting Ray script on the rear deck. The rear license plate reads 1963 STINGRAY. Condition: The decanter is empty. The red and gold paper tax seal over the cap is broken. There is visible yellowing and residue from the adhesive around the decals on the hood and rear deck. The metallic silver paint shows minor surface scuffs and rubbing consistent with age and handling. All trim components and bumpers appear present. The ceramic body shows no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
