This lot features two decorative objects. The first is a hard-fire porcelain collector plate from the Bradford Exchange titled Playmates, based on the artwork of Jim Daly. It is the second issue in the Happy Hearts collection. The transfer-printed image depicts a young girl holding a rag doll with a kitten at her feet, and the plate is finished with a gilt-decorated scroll border. The reverse bears a comprehensive backstamp with Bradex number 84-B10-242.2 and is hand-numbered 484B. A brass-tone wire display stand is included. The second item is a large vessel crafted in ruby red glass with an oversized brandy snifter form. The deep red bowl is supported by a clear glass stem and a circular foot. A central pontil mark is visible on the underside of the base. Dimensions measured against a ruler: Plate: Diameter approx. 21 cm (note: only inches shown on scale) Vessel: H approx. 26.7 cm, Diameter approx. 21.6 cm (note: only inches shown on scale). Condition: The porcelain plate is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or crazing. The ruby glass vessel is in good condition, free of chips or cracks, though it shows some minor surface dust and lint.
