A late 20th-century bachelor's chest of drawers in the Chippendale reproduction style, produced by The Bombay Company. The carcass is constructed from a dark-stained hardwood finished to resemble mahogany, featuring four full-width drawers. The drawers are built with engineered wood interiors and are fitted with modern metal glides. The drawer fronts are decorated with brass-toned batwing-style backplates, bail handles, and central faux escutcheons. The interior of one drawer is stamped with the maker's mark: © 1990 / THE BOMBAY COMPANY, INC. / ALL RIGHTS RESERVED / LA COMPAGNIE BOMBAY INC. / TOUS DROITS RÉSERVÉS. Condition: The chest exhibits wear consistent with age and use, including minor scuffing and finish loss to the top edges and corners. A small white mark or surface chip is present on the face of the top drawer.
