Remington Model 700 Bolt-Action Rifle — .308 Winchester Manufacturer: Remington Arms, Ilion, NY Model: 700 Caliber: .308 Winchester Rifling Twist: 1:10 Action Type: Bolt-action, hinged floorplate Description Offered here is a classic Remington Model 700 bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, a well-regarded caliber prized for its versatility across hunting and target shooting applications. This example presents NOS (New Old Stock) condition with a rich, glossy American walnut stock showing attractive figure and grain throughout the buttstock and forend. This rifle includes the original box, that was sealed when we received it. Stock & Wood: The stock features a classic Monte Carlo-style comb and cheekpiece with a high-gloss finish. Hand-cut point pattern checkering adorns both the pistol grip and forend, showing crisp, well-defined diamond patterns with no handling wear. A black buttplate/recoil pad with white line spacer is fitted at the heel and toe. Metal & Finish: The barreled action displays a deep blued finish on the barrel and receiver in strong, attractive new condition. The bolt body shows a jeweled/engine-turned finish, and the bolt handle and shroud retain their original blued finish. Roll-marked barrel address reads "REMINGTON ILION, NY · 308 WIN · 1:10," and the receiver is clearly marked "Remington MODEL 700" along with the serial number. Barrel date codes reflect a 2006 manufacturing date. Sights: The rifle is equipped with an adjustable open rear sight and a hooded front sight, allowing for use as-is or as a foundation for scope mounting. Trigger & Controls: Standard Remington 700 blade-style trigger with trigger guard, along with a bolt release and a two-position safety mounted on the right side of the receiver near the bolt shroud. Furniture: Sling swivel studs are fitted to both the forend and buttstock for easy attachment of a carry sling. Condition Overall the rifle presents in excellent unfired condition, with strong original wood-to-metal fit, a glossy and blemish-free stock finish, and clean, sharp metal finish throughout.
