The surface displays vibrant color, smooth paint application, and excellent preservation. Minor wear consistent with age and handling. The canvas remains structurally sound and presents beautifully. Provenance Formerly held in the private collection of Alessandro Bellini, Milan, Italy; later acquired through Galleria d'Arte Moderna Firenze; subsequently preserved in a distinguished New York collection of European Modernism before entering the present secondary market collection. Description This captivating metaphysical composition presents two enigmatic mannequin-like figures standing before a luminous blue sky while geometric architectural forms occupy the foreground in a carefully orchestrated arrangement. The balanced perspective, dreamlike atmosphere, and symbolic elements create a sense of mystery and timeless contemplation characteristic of twentieth-century metaphysical painting.
