Description This luminous coastal landscape is executed in gouache using a refined pointillist technique characterized by thousands of carefully placed color dots that merge visually to create shimmering water, flowering trees, and a vibrant pastel sky. The composition demonstrates the optical color relationships and rhythmic brushwork associated with the Neo-Impressionist movement. Attributed to Paul Signac (1863–1935), this work reflects many of the stylistic qualities associated with the artist's celebrated Neo-Impressionist paintings.
