Chuco, Original Banknote. Original Banco Central de Reserva del Perú banknote of 10,000 Intis, dated June 28, 1988. Obverse: Portrait of César Vallejo, one of Peru’s most important poets and a major figure in 20th-century literature. National coat of arms at center. Serial: A4339978S. Reverse: Detailed engraving of Santiago de Chuco, Vallejo’s birthplace, highlighting traditional Andean architecture. Condition: Circulated, with some folds and visible wear, yet the note retains solid details and good color presentation (see photos). Collectible condition. Notes: High-denomination Intis notes from this hyperinflationary era of Peru are increasingly rare and represent a striking chapter of economic history. Highly valued among collectors and potentially sought after in international auctions. Provenance: Private collection. Shipping: Worldwide, carefully packed and shipped in protective sleeve.
