Original Banknote. Original Banco Central de Reserva del Perú banknote of 500 Soles de Oro, dated February 9, 1962. Obverse: Seated allegorical figure of Liberty, holding scales and staff, symbolizing justice and authority. Denomination “500” prominently displayed, with national coat of arms at center. Serial: L5 Nº 289885. Reverse: National coat of arms framed by ornamental guilloches, denomination “500” in each corner. Condition: Circulated, yet very well preserved; paper remains crisp with well-defined details and strong color retention (see photos). Graded VF to XF collectible condition. Notes: Soles de Oro issues from the early 1960s are highly regarded for their elaborate allegorical engravings and historic significance, making them increasingly desirable in the world paper money market.
