Handwerck, Simon Halbig #109 Dolly Face Doll measuring 19 inches in height. This example features restorations, including a replacement pair of sleep eyes, and has original open mouth with teeth. The doll is fitted with earring holes and comes with paired earrings. It has most likely been restrung and has a composition and wood jointed body. A new paired wig is present, and the doll wears period-appropriate green and white floral clothing, slip, and socks. The socks have left a residue on the feet. Condition shows joint wear and paint loss, particularly at the joints and feet. Marked "109-11, H, 2½" on the back of the head. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit.
