German bisque headed doll, marked #390 on the back of the head, measuring 12.5 inches tall. The doll has a jointed wood and composition body with articulated limbs. Its brown glass sleepy eyes open and close, and the open mouth reveals upper teeth. The face is finished with painted brows, lashes, and rosy cheeks. The curly mohair wig is loose, exposing the inside of the head. The doll is attributed to Armand Marseille, though it is unmarked as such beyond the incised "Made in Germany 390". Sign of wear, finish imperfections, and some minor discoloration and chipping are present. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit.
