This is an antique German bisque socket head doll, manufactured by Gebrüder Ohlhaver under the Revalo trademark, produced between 1912 and 1925. Measuring 27 inches tall, the doll features a bisque head with open mouth and sleep eyes, mounted on a jointed composition and wood body. Back of the head is marked "Revalo 9." Condition notes include restoration and repainting to the body. Has a paired curly wig, brown glass eyes, and elaborate period-appropriate red costume and bonnet are presentable, the fishnet stockings and black shoes are glued onto the legs and feet. Paint wear, touch-ups, and surface cracks are visible on the limbs and torso, all typical of restoration in dolls of this age. Comes with additional undergarments and outfit pieces. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
