This two-volume fifth edition set is quarter-bound in navy blue Nigerian goatskin with moiré silk sides and gilt-stamped spines. Bound by Smith Settle, the work is limited to 1,500 numbered copies, of which this is number 1162. The volumes feature gilt top edges and are housed in the original matching blue cloth-covered slipcase. 12 inches tall.The set is in good condition with bright gilding and well-preserved leather and silk. The original slipcase shows minor shelf wear, including a light scuff mark on the top surface and rubbing to the corners.
