This monochrome portrait, likely an albumen print, depicts Viola Taylor seated with her two children. The image is set within an oval wooden frame decorated with an applied composition floral vine border. Handwritten inscriptions on the backing board provide detailed family history and date the photograph to 1873.19 inches (H) x 15 inches (W).The frame shows significant losses to the composition ornament, pervasive cracking, and scattered paint chips throughout. The photograph exhibits age-related yellowing and moderate fading. The reverse backing board is brittle with rusted hardware.
