This vintage Wesco hunting knife features a carbon steel clip-point blade with a fuller and the maker's patented split-tang construction. The handle is composed of stacked leather washers with decorative yellow and black spacers, finished with a swirled orange plastic guard and bird's-head pommel. The ricasso is stamped with the manufacturer's mark for Western States Cutlery Co. of Boulder, Colorado, and includes patent number 2,190,397.Overall Length: 9.25 inchesBlade Length: 5 inches.The blade displays a heavy dark patina throughout with areas of pitting and significant sharpening wear. The stacked leather handle washers show age-related shrinkage resulting in minor gaps, and the plastic components exhibit surface scratches and small dings consistent with field use.
