The wide variety of recessed lighting trims available allows a number of different lighting effects to be created with 1 basic recessed housing. The H27ICAT is designed for shallow ceilings where insulation is present. This recessed light housing is of AIR-TITE construction and prevents airflow between conditioned spaces and unconditioned attic/plenum areas. New construction recessed can light housing, ideal for installations that have easy access to your ceilings. Air-tite, prevents airflow between attic and living areas; Insulation contact (IC) rated, recessed housing can touch and be covered with insulation. Shallow recessed can designed for ceilings with 2 in x 6 in joist construction, fits perfectly in tight spaces. Compatible with a wide variety of 6 in recessed lights but is best with HALO 426, 420, 353, 310, 301, 172, 78, 71, 70 and 30 series models. Compatible with a wide variety of 6 in LED retrofit recessed light trims but is best with HALO quality RL, RA, SLD, LT, SMD and ML series models. Uses PAR 30 75-Watt bulbs/lamps (not included, sold separately). Got Nail! bar hangers for easy installation; pre-installed nail easily installs in regular lumber, engineered lumber and laminated beams. Pass-N-Thru tool-less shortening of bar hangers; Slide-N-Side wire traps; 3 Quick Connect connectors eliminate the need for separate wire nuts.
