Beautiful large porcelain plate. Nicely decorated with orange and yellow flowers in the center framed by a gold gilt chain. With large hand painted purple, pink, yellow, and orange flowers and smaller white and blue flowers along the border. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse Royal Bavarian over a crown and lion with Hutschenreuther Selb Bavaria below. This is the original manufacturer's mark and is obscured by a gold Dresden mark. Also marked in blue with a winged H over Dresden. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Franziska Hirsch in Dresden, Germany between 1901 and 1930. Has some usage or stacking wear and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 10 3/4 inches wide.
