Late 18th century blown clear glass stein. Engraved "Freude lachle dir" framed by engraved acorns and leaves. Applied clear glass handle. Rough pontiled base. Pewter mounts at the top and base. The pewter lid is engraved with the monogram ABH. The inside of the lid has a mark of a stork with letters above it in a shield. The firs letter is partially illegible, but possibly an I. I have not been able to identify this mark. The glass is unsigned. Has some wear and tarnish to the pewter mounts, some small nicks to the edge of the pewter mounts, and a dent to the lid where the A is engraved. Otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 6 1/4 inches wide including the handle x 9 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. We can offer packaging and shipping on this lot to a domestic USA address for $30.
