Nice antique British pottery Doric jug with a brown swirled glaze and gold highlights. Impressed Wedgwood & Doric on the base. Also has an impressed British registry diamond. Registered April 29, 1861. Has an impressed date code mark for 1867. Has crazing typical of earthenware, wear to the gilding, wear and scratches consistent with age and use, some staining to the inside, glaze wear along the rim, and has some broken pewter pieces along the rim where a lid was once attached. Measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide including the handle x 7 3/8 inches tall. We can offer packaging and shipping on this lot to a domestic USA address for $35.
