Antique Japanese pierced porcelain plate. Decorated with a transfer portrait of Catherine De Medici in the center framed by raised gold and beading. With green and gold bands with white enamel beading, raised gold designs, and hand painted flowers in yellow, red and yellow-gold cartouches with white beading. Gold scrollwork, green, yellow and red highlights along the edge. Unmarked. Probably produced during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain, circa 1891 to 1921. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 9 inches wide. We can offer packaging and shipping on this lot to a domestic USA address for $30.
