A fun and colorful Japanese porcelain jar with much hand painting that will jazz up your décor. The hand-thrown porcelain jar has been covered in colorful polychrome enamels in a design of pomegranates, peonies, and cherry blossoms. On one side is a pheasant and on the opposite side is a flying phoenix. The mouth has an unglazed white clay showing. The raised rounded foot is unglazed while the base is. The jar has the words MADE IN JAPAN stamped on the base. The interior shows the potter's wheel marks. MEASUREMENTS 6" (15.2 cm) diameter x 6" (15.2 cm) tall. Weighs 2 lbs 1.2 oz (945 g) CONDITION There are no cracks, chips, or breaks. The glazes are bright. A bright and colorful jar to make a splash of color.
