An artistically painted design of birds in the landscape. One is perched on a branch and the other is flying above. A porcelain teacup has been hand painted in under glaze cobalt. The glaze is thick and very soft and very smooth to the touch. The glaze has a bluish tint. The cup has a tall foot with an unglazed edge. The foot rim shows a very refined white paste that is smooth. The base is glazed and shows an artemisia leaf surrounded by a double blue ring. MEASUREMENTS 3 ¼" (8.3 cm) diameter x 2 1/8" (5.4 cm) tall. Weighs 3.8 oz (110 g) CONDITION There is a hairline extending approximately 1" from the rim. There are no other cracks, breaks, repairs or chips. There is wear in the well. A great artistic blue and white teacup to add to a display of blue and white or to your collection.
