THAILAND BRASS ROSEWOOD MID-CENTURY FLATWARE SET

Impressive collection with approx 90+ pieces. Featuring brass gold-tone flatware with beautiful rosewood tapered handles. The set is housed in its original fitted, multi-level wooden presentation case with vivid pink velvet lining and original business card from Tang Kwuang Chieng Jewelers, 140 Phosri Road, Udon, Thailand, providing wonderful period provenance. The extensive assortment includes dinner and luncheon forks, knives, spoons, teaspoons, long-handled utensils and numerous specialty serving pieces, including carving utensils, ladles, salad servers, cake and pie servers, and cheese tools. CONDITION: Metal composition and wood species have not been independently tested. Vintage used condition with visible tarnish, oxidation, spotting, surface scratches and utensil wear throughout. Dark wood handles show age-related wear. The wooden case has scratches, finish wear and small edge losses. Velvet lining and retaining loops show fading, fraying, looseness and deterioration in several areas. The collection contains 90+ photographed utensils, but the original factory configuration and completeness are unknown. VALUE: Estimated secondary-market value: $175–$300. Reserve Price: $95.
