Offered is Department 56 The Heritage Village Collection Dickens' Village Series David Copperfield "Peggotty's Seaside Cottage" handpainted porcelain, dated 1989 on base. The building is modeled as an overturned boat cottage with green planked hull, orange-brown cabin top, stone chimney, arched wooden door with wreath, barrels, crates, oars, small boat, and snow accents. Marked on bottom "DICKENS' VILLAGE SERIES 'PEGGOTTY'S SEASIDE COTTAGE' © Department 56 1989" with "INSPECTED BY 22/12" sticker. Measures approximately 5" long x 3-1/2" wide x 3" tall per rulers shown. Comes in original box marked "The Heritage Village Collection Dickens' Village Series David Copperfield 'PEGGOTTY'S SEASIDE COTTAGE'". The porcelain shows light surface wear and minor soiling consistent with handling and storage; no large chips or cracks noted in photos, with a small white scuff on upper cabin roof as shown. The original box shows light edge wear, corner wear, and surface scuffs consistent with age. Styrofoam insert present; light cord or other accessories not pictured and not included unless shown.
