This antique landscape etching by Benjamin Lander, dated 1898, depicts a pastoral scene of sheep grazing by a reflective pond. The work features a circular remarque in the lower margin and is signed Benjamin Lander in the plate at the bottom center. A pencil signature reading Benj Lander is present in the lower right margin. The top left corner is inscribed Copyright 1898, by Benjamin Lander, New York. It is housed in a period gilt and silvered wood frame with a cream mat. Frame: 26.5 x 34.5 inches. The paper displays significant toning and a prominent water stain along the left margin and top left corner. The frame shows surface wear including scuffs and minor losses to the finish.
