Vintage tin wind-up cat playing with a ball, the base stamped in three lines "MADE IN / OCCUPIED / JAPAN" — the 1945–52 occupation-era mark collectors look for. Yellow lithographed tin body, a molded celluloid head with painted blue eyes, its original faded ribbon collar, and the tin ball still mounted between its front paws. About 5 in. long. PLEASE NOTE: the wind-up KEY IS MISSING — only the square winding arbor shows in the side hole — and the mechanism is untested; sold as a collectible display piece. Honest, untouched condition: heavy paint loss to bare metal with rust speckling across the body, legs and ball, exactly as photographed; the head is intact with no cracks, the eyes and tiny red mouth are good, and the body has no significant dents.
