Charming rectangular woven wicker basket with a bent bamboo rim frame and six hand-painted ceramic hen plaques lashed around the sides with cane. The plaques are white glazed ceramic with green linework detailing the hens' feathers, eyes, and combs, each pierced and tied to the frame top and bottom. A sweet farmhouse/country kitchen accent — handy for napkins, utensils, mail, or as a table centerpiece. Approx. 8.5" long. Light wear to the wicker, as photographed; plaques and lashings intact.
