Waterbury Gothic Mechanical Mantel Clock – Working

Waterbury Clock Company mechanical mantel clock in a Gothic-style wooden case with a pointed arch, twin turned finials, and a rectangular base. The warm brown case features contrasting darker trim and a hinged glazed front door. The cream-coloured dial has black Roman numerals, a minute track, decorative hands, and a single winding opening. The lower glass panel features a colourful floral medallion within an ornate border, with substantial deterioration and flaking to the surrounding decorative backing. The interior retains a printed Waterbury Clock Company label identifying Waterbury, Connecticut, along with an additional watchmaker/jeweller label. Includes the brass-tone pendulum bob and winding key marked “Waterbury Clock Co. U.S.A.” Mechanical movement is working. Timekeeping accuracy and running duration have not been documented. Condition shows age-related wear, including scratches, finish loss, small chips and separations in the wooden case, crazing and discolouration to the dial, and wear to the interior labels. Metal components show tarnish and oxidation. Please review photographs for condition details. Sold as is.
