C-21630

Two-tone stoneware whiskey jug converted into a table lamp during the mid-twentieth century. The authentic turn-of-the-century pottery vessel features a dark brown Albany-slip glazed shoulder above a cream Bristol-glazed body with an applied handle and cobalt-painted “2” (denoting two gallon capacity). Probably converted during the 1960s–1970sl, the lamp retains its stained wooden base, woven fabric shade, and vintage electrical components.

The stoneware jug exhibits expected light surface wear, minor glaze imperfections, and age-related discoloration consistent with use. The jug rotates freely on the wooden base, though the overall lamp remains structurally sound. The woven fabric shade displays light wear with a small break in the woven material and minor imperfections as shown. Lamp is in working condition, bulb is not included.

10" Diam. x 26.5" H
