Miami Beach Gay Travel Advertising Flyer. Printed promotional sheet announcing a special Lambda International membership offer at the Windward Resort, formerly located on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Florida. Large blue lettering offers a week's lodging for the price of four days, while nautical line drawings and black-and-white resort photographs depict the beachside pool, nightlife, and social activities. Such advertising documents travel and leisure opportunities marketed to gay men in the late-twentieth-century period when dedicated gathering places provided important opportunities for community. The sheet may date from the 1970s or early 1980s; no issue year is present, and it should not be conflated with the separate Lambda membership packet in another lot. Printed on white paper with fold creases, mild handling wrinkles, subtle discoloration, and modest edge and corner wear. The illustrated side is shown; the reverse and exact dimensions have not been documented.
