These early iron miner candleholders are functional remnants of a bygone era when miners relied on simple, sturdy tools to illuminate their workspaces. Hand-forged, they feature a spike for securing into wood or cracks and a looped handle for easy maneuvering, hallmarks of 19th-century mining tools. These items were essential for underground work before electric lighting became commonplace.
