A three-panel folding floor screen featuring hand-painted English tavern-style pastoral and village scenes. The panels depict a stagecoach, a thatched cottage with a church tower, and a gabled house set against an antiqued dark ground. Each panel is constructed with canvas stretched over wooden frames, finished with dark green leatherette trim and brass-toned upholstery tacks. The reverse side is covered in a plain dark green fabric. Each panel measures 68 inches tall by18 inches wide. Extensive craquelure and surface cracking to the paint throughout (photo 1). The panel on the left has a visible vertical scratch to the lower section (photo 4). General wear to edges.
