SERIAL NUMBER: 1087171 BARREL: 5" CALIBER: .45 ACP. MANUFACTURED: 1943. Standard work horse of the military this is a CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) release after the 1911-A1 was retired from active military service. Gray finish metal with UNITED STATES PROPERTY M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY. Serial number with ANAD 6 73 SA on the right side of the frame. REMINGTON RAND two line address on left side of the slide. FJA ( Frank J. Atwood ) inspector marked. P proof is present on slide and frame. Military era brown checkered grips with 22 painted on right panel. Colt replacement barrel is present. COLT 45 AUTO is stamped on the chamber hood. CONDITION: Metal has 90% finish with surface pitting showing from age but was refinished over at some point. Take down scratch is showing. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Grips are good with wear from use. 1- Replacement post war magazine. Operates normally. C&R 26-36
